With the unexpected arrival of Covid-19 pandemic a big transformation occurred in the entire education system. Online learning, which was only a secondary option in the earlier days, became the only way to get education.
The online learning system that came as an alternative for traditional chalk talk system has advantages and disadvantages.
The knowledge of technical skills is very much necessary in online learning. But even though a learner don’t possess much technical skills, with days passed by , the learner will gain the abilities to perform various computer operations and internet skills. The technical skills that you gained will benefit you a lot when you get into a profession.
Once the student started to attend classes in online mode, the will learn how to complete the tasks assigned to them within the stipulated time. Also, they will learn to use every day productively. The time management skills that you gained in your learning period will be a great advantage when you get into a work space.
Usually there will be more assignments and projects in online learning when compared to offline learning. So by doing many projects and assignment the research skills of learner will get developed. This will benefit you a lot when you get into a work.
Even though it has many advantages like these, there some disadvantages for the system.
In online learning a learner has to spend more time in gadgets to attend the classes. So if a learner is not taking proper precautions, it may cause issues related to eye.
An important issue that an online learner will face during the class hours is technical issues. So if the listener is not aware about how to resolve it may affect in his/her studies.
In online learning there is a great chance for the learner to feel isolated as the direct interaction with others are limited.
