Mental health of students during pandemic is a much discussing topic today. It is clear fact that the pandemic has affected badly on the mental health of many students. It has affected students in almost all age groups. Now let us have a look at some techniques that can implemented to ensure the mental well being of students during pandemic
Yoga
Yoga and meditation are good measures that can be practiced to reduce stress , pressure and anxiety and it also ensures the well being of the mind. So encourage kids to practise yoga and meditation.
Give correct information regarding the pandemic
Even though government has taken enough measures to control the spread of fake news, sometimes we come across fake news via social media. So there is a great chance for little kids to get panic if they come cross these fake news.
Here, the parents and teachers must take the responsibility to keep away their kids from these fake news and give the correct information regarding the pandemic
Ensure more interaction with peers
Teacher during class hours can conduct more group activities which will ensure more interaction among students. Before pandemic students had opportunities to meet, play and talk with their friends. But after the coming of pandemic students lost all these opportunities and this has lead atleast some students to get addicted to a fantasy world created by technology.
So creating chances to have interaction with their friends will definitely help those students to get free from those addictions.
Talk to them
Teachers and Parents must find an extra time to talk to their kids. During this time, they may ask them how well they are now and are they feeling any issues or pressures. Use this time to give your children a feeling that you are there to help them at any time and they can share with you any problems they are facing now.
