In the current state of the Indian healthcare system, skilled and professional nurses and midwives who are dedicated to their work are in short supply. They work as specialists, educators, administrators, and other such roles under the supervision of qualified doctors. Qualified nurses find good jobs in both the public and private sectors, in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, the Armed Forces, and in various government-run healthcare initiatives and schemes that target specific communities and rural areas.
